- Wooden skewers
Instructions:
- Slice your large orange in half and scoop out the fruit inside, so it looks like a bowl.
- Take a skewer and poke it through one side of the orange, to the other, crossing through the middle of the orange. Repeat with a second skewer on the opposite side of the orange, crossing over the first skewer in the middle. It should look like an “X” through the fruit bowl.
- Cut two pieces of twine, about 18-20 inches long. Tie the end of the first piece of twine to one skewer, then repeat with the second piece to the other skewer.
- Fill the orange bowl with your favorite Nature’s Nuts Wild Bird food, and hang in your desired location.

- 2 Powdered Gelatin Packets
- ½ Cup Boiling Water
- Desired Cookie Cutters
- Plastic Straws Cut into 2 in Pieces (to create a hole for the string while drying)
- Parchment paper
Instructions:
- Add 2 gelatin packets to ½ cup of boiling water. Stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Let mixture cool for two minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of birdseed and the gelatin mixture. Stir/ mix well enough to coat all the bird seed.
- On a piece of parchment paper, lay out the desired cookie cutters, and fill with bird seed mixture. Fill the cookie cutter shape to the top, and firmly pack down the mixture with a spoon.
- Insert a straw where you would like the hole for the twine/ribbon to be. Then add a little more bird seed around the straw and pack it down as well, as best you can.
- To set the molds, let stand for a few hours, or pop them in the freezer to speed up the process.
- When the molds have hardened, gently push them out of the cookie cutter. Be sure that the straw made a hole all the way through.
- Lace a piece of twine or ribbon through the hole, and hang in your desired outdoor space.
**do not leave out in the rain, or extreme heat as gelatin will melt.**

- Parchment Paper or Paper Plate
- Spoon
Instructions:
- Cut the handle off a wire hanger with wire cutters, and bend the hanger in the middle and the end at about 2 inches.
- Push the ends of the hanger into each side of your corn cob, make sure it stays in place. (If you are using fresh corn cobs, dry them overnight after inserting the hanger, then proceed with the following steps.)
- Spread a decent amount of bird seed onto your plate or parchment paper.
- With a spoon, cover your corn cob with peanut butter.
- Press your peanut butter-covered cob into the bird seed, packing it down with your hands until the peanut butter is completely covered with bird seed.
- String twine or a ribbon through the top of the hanger so your feeder can be hung in your desired location.
- Hang and enjoy watching your feathered friends! **Tip: since peanut butter can melt, this activity is best for cooler months of the year.
