Self Wash Rules

For the safety of you & your pet please:

  • Don’t leave your pet alone in the tub
  • Stay within arms reach of your pet while on the drying table
  • Pets should be properly restrained or kenneled while in the shop
  • Only use tearless shampoo on the head
  • Only one pet in a tub at a time

Tips & Tricks for an Easy Wash

Bathing
  1. Make sure your pet pal is secure in the wash tub, using the loop and quick release latch
    • SAFETY FIRST for our four-legged friends
  2. Select shampoo from the Bather Box Wash & Rinse System
    • Turn the dial to the desired product– hypoallergenic, oatmeal, or deodorizing
    • Turn nozzle to clean, and spray pet’s body
      • Wash & Rinse system will dilute the shampoo, no pre-rinse required
  3. Brush out
    • Brushing–Slicker Brush or Rubber Curry
      • Brush out any tangles or mats using the slicker brush for medium-long
        hair coats, and a rubber curry for short-medium coats
    • Comb
      • Use the comb to work any tangles or mats
  4. Washing their face
    • Be careful of their eyes, nobody likes soap in their eyes, OUCH
    • Use the tearless shampoo provided in the caddy
    • Optional: ear cleaner and cotton balls provided in caddy
  5. Rinse pet thoroughly using rinse setting on Bather Box
Drying
  1. Towel dry pet in wash tub, soaking up as much water as possible
  2. Using the velocity dryer
    • Dry pet from the neck back, going slow
    • If pet is new to drying, start at the back of the pet, working forward
  3. Water should roll off the pet, and speed up the drying process
Exiting
  1. Leave caddy and grooming supplies in wash tub for cleaning
  2. Place soiled towel in hamper
  3. Check out with the cashiers up front
