Because of careful drying process, Bear Bricks are twice as dry which makes them burn hotter than seasoned cordwood. Air dried (seasoned) cordwood has varying moisture levels, depending on species of wood, etc., and can average roughly 20% moisture content. Bear Bricks’ consistently low moisture content of 9%, stable size and uniform density ensures a dependable amount of heat throughout the burning process and the winter season. Independent tests report that room temperatures at 2 feet from the stove are over 20 degree hotter when burning Bear Bricks than cordwood.
