Hardy Kiwi
Actinidia arguta
These attractive, vigorous, disease-resistant and pest free vines can quickly cover a wall, fence or arbor. Their delicious lime-green fruit is sweeter and more flavorful than that of the Fuzzy Kiwi and with their smooth tender skin, you can eat them like grapes! One of these very productive vines can produce over 100 pounds of fruit! Hardy Kiwi likes half day to full sun, needs a male for pollination, and is hardy to at least minus 25° F. Issai can bear fruit the year after planting while the other varieties should begin bearing in 3 to 4 years.
