Easy-Tear Insert refills open easily and are designed for use with 8mm Bee Tubes or drilled blocks of wood. Spring Easy-Tear Inserts: provide your mason bees a set of clean nesting holes each year.
Each insert is made of smooth paper that fits inside our 8mm BeeTubes and can be easily removed and replaced with a fresh insert. Tear open inserts with ease to remove cocoons quickly. Our BeeTube and Inserts are a favorite among our participating BeeBuyBack mason bee raisers.
If you are new to raising spring mason bees, please don’t use inserts on their own because parasitic wasps can easily pierce through the side walls. Inserts should be used with a protective 8mm BeeTube, inserted into a drilled hole, or can even be combined with our reusable wood trays.
