Urea Fertilizer is a good pasture fertilizer for early spring without applying sulfur.
Management goals will determine Nitrogen Rate. Normal Nitrogen rate is 40 to 60 pounds of Nitrogen per acre in the spring. High rate can be made in split applications of 30 lbs of Nitrogen each application. First application should be in February and the second in late April or early May.
Rates for Fall Application
It is best to apply Phosphorus and Potassium in the Fall. This allows winter rains to move the fertilizer into the root zone. If you are planning to pasture stock in the fall apply 40 lbs of Nitrogen per acre.
