Wilco’s 16th Store Opens in Vancouver, WA.
This morning, Wilco opened its 16th farm store in Vancouver, Washington. This project was more than two years in the making. The new store will serve current and new customers from Camas, Washougal and areas south and west of Wilco’s existing Battle Ground and Kelso stores.
The Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and Wilco held the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new store last night in a special celebration followed by a Sneak Peek customer event where 100’s of invited Wilco Family Rewards customers enjoyed refreshments and shopping before the store was opened to the public.
The new store features a Bulk Produce Sale event that starts Friday and runs through Sunday. The event features mostly Washington and Oregon grown produce in large quantities for canners and food preservation. This compliments a large, year-round Canning Supplies department in the new store.
“We’re very excited to open in the Vancouver community. The construction and merchandising teams have presented us with a beautiful facility. We really appreciate all the support we’ve received and are fortunate to have an excellent group of employees,” said Jake Wilson, Wilco’s Marketing Director.
The new store also features Wilco’s first 5,000 sq. ft. indoor Garden Center, has a drive up Load Out for Fencing, Feed and other Warehouse merchandise. The inside of the store is 20,000 sq. ft. with distinct departments; Lawn and Garden, True Value Hardware with Benjamin Moore Paint, Work Wear and Lifestyle Clothing, Pet Food, Supplies and Dog Grooming, and Livestock, Equine and Poultry Feed, Fencing and Supplies.
There is a Grand Opening Celebration planned to start Thursday, August 27th through Sunday the 30th. Every department has some of the hottest promotions of the year; like 30% off all footwear or $10 off any large bag of premium pet food. There will also be drawing boxes throughout the store where you can enter to win one of 15 grand prizes; like a Traeger BBQ, $500 Clothing Shopping Spree or five piece 20 volt DeWalt Tool set.
“The Grand Opening event is full of promotions, drawings and entertainment. We have a monster truck visiting us, are giving away free reusable shopping bags, free hats on Friday with any purchase and lots more. The Vancouver Grand Opening is going to be a lot of fun and we look forward to sharing the new store with the community,” said Wilson.
